The Life Centre Institute (Instituto Centro de Vida – ICV) commissioned a video about a controversial instrument of economic incentive to reduce deforestation. REDD+ aims to financially offset carbon stocks and promote the valuing of standing forests.
The Life Centre Institute (ICV), within the scope of the Economic Incentives Initiative, needed to develop a communication piece that could explain REDD+ and, at the same time, talk about the experience in Mato Grosso. The government, in partnership with the Environment Secretariat – SEMA-MT, started a process to implement the mechanism at the state level.
