Graphic Design: Public Budget and the Right to Indigenous Health – INESC

852963

The Socioeconomic Studies Institute (INESC) promotes workshops to monitor the public budget and, in 2018, they hired Forest to produce illustrations and the layout for three publications to support training. <link to another publication> The books were well received and the INESC team identified the need for content that considered the public budget based on thematic groups – youth, gender and ethnicity.

In 2019, Forest provided new illustration and layout services for a specific booklet, with information to monitor the public budget for indigenous health. As a new feature, the publication had pockets to archive two pieces of design that can be continuously updated: a timeline and a walkthrough.

The layout of the booklet comprises icons, schemes and graphs. It was designed to have a life of its own. The material is used by the INESC team for training, but it was also distributed so that different Indigenous groups have the autonomy to carry out the training on their own.
